A little kid also needs your support. Gavyn is the grandson of my friend and co-worker. His Mom died at an early age and since be adopted by his younger daughter.
Given small chance of survival his will to survive continues. Gavyn recently had major surgery to remove tumors. One was the
size of a basketball and two others near his hip were grapefruit in size. He now needs chemo. So much has happen in his short
life. Your support can make a huge difference in someone's life today. Your prayers for both Dean and Gavyn is much appreciated.
Thank You So Very Much!

Keiki Hula
2009 Fundraiser: From: Darleen (Perry) Kiefer
I am baking
to help with and defer the cost of expenses to enter my daughter (Nicole
“Malie” Kiefer) in Keiki Hula 2009 which is right
around the corner.
She is the soloist for Na Opio O Ko’olau out of Kaneohe. If our classmates or anyone would like to help sponser her or kokua to purchase baked goods. Our goal is to raise about $2,000. I am baking Banana Bread; Bread Pudding and thought about Pumpkin Bread w/Chocolate Chips. The Breads are 3x2 “ for 2.00 and the bread pudding is really thick slices for 4.00 a piece. Let me know… You may place your orders with me directly. They make great pot-luck deserts or something to bring to your next graduation party. All are invited to attend the 34th Annual Queen Liliuokalani Keiki Hula Competition
held at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Arena from July 16-18. The annual event brings
together more than 400 keiki and their families from 22 halau from Oahu, Maui, Kauai, the Big Island and Japan. Performances
include solos, hula kahiko and hulaauana. For those who don't know, hula kahiko is an
ancient form of hula performed to mele (chants) accompanied by percussion instruments. This form of dance usually depicts
Hawaiian legends, the beauty of nature and exploits of Hawaiian people. Hulaauana is performed
to singing accompanied by the ukulele, guitar and other stringed instruments. While considered a more modern form of hula,
it still tells a story. Tickets will be available July 11. Admission is $13 for adults and $10 for children
4-12 for reserved seats and $10 for all general seats. You can purchase your tickets at the Blaisdell Center Box Office, or
call Ticket master at 1-877-750-4400 or online at ticketmaster.com.
